Marco in France

Introduction:  I think that I first "met" Marco when I was googling Kawai and found his posts on a French forum discussing guitars - specifically Japanese guitars.  Marco has the exact guitar that I was looking for, but as you'll read in his story, he wasn't about to sell it!

The guitar:  A KS-11-XL in natural maple finish.  And looking in stunningly good condition.

The story:  In Marco's words ...

I think I bought my Kawai in 1978, when I was 15 years in a store Marseille (Scotto music) where a friend who had booked me (it was the one he received).
I've never bought a new guitar until 2008 because this is a super guitar. I’ve recently change the pickups by two Bill Lawrence. The sound is more dynamic.

But in 2008, I could not resist and I bought a “Hollow body RKS”. I am also very happy of this new guitar and the two guitars complement each other perfectly.

I love guitars with character.

I played in many groups when I was young. I stopped the group when I got married but I continued to play alone at home. Then a few years ago, children (3 boys) have grown and I had a new desire to play in a band.

Now I play in a group exclusively composed of teachers (It’s a coincidence) and with my wife (Laetitia). The name of the Band is “Les BRAS KC” (the broken arm in English).

We have a MySpace site:

Thank you very much for this very good idea
