Kawai KS-10-XL & Kawai KS-10-Junior

The KS-10 was the "entry model" for the range.

Body:  Solid silver heart or white ash or mahogany

Neck:  Three-piece hard rock maple

PickUps:  2 humbuckers, manufacturer unknown

Controls:  2 volume & 2 tone, 3-way pickup selector switch

Other:  The mini-toggle (between the 2 tone controls) coil splits the HBs.

Finish:  Available in metallic silver and violin sunburst.

The guitar used a 25 5/8" scale.

The body is obviously different to the KS11 and KS12 with the extra cut-out at the bottom of the body.  Slightly less obviously, the twin cutaway / body horn area is shaped differently as well.

The body was flat topped with no carving, just a slight round-over on the edges.

Guitar jack socket on the face of the body.

This is my KS-10-Junior

Note the two piece bridge/tailpiece which is the most obvious difference between the "Junior" and "XL" models.

I bought this one via eBay a few years ago.
