Introduction: I am - I admit it - jealous of Dave's find!
The guitar: A Kawai F-1 in natural finish.
The story: Dave emailed me a couple of weeks ago to let me know that he'd found a second-hand Kawai F-1, in its natural finish, in a second-hand guitar shop in Barcelona. The guitar has been quite heavily modded with replacement pickups and a new bridge, and the person who did it affected the in-built electronics. And not in a good way!
Dave contacted me to ask whether I had any wiring diagrams for this guitar (I don't, unfortunately) as he wanted to restore it to a fully working condition.
Dave's plan is to use this as a gigging guitar ...
And the reason that I'm jealous? Because an F-1 in natural finish is probably top of my list of Kawai guitars that I'd like to add to my collection. Dave's find proves that they're still out there!
